This is a great Chinese spot in PGH! They have decent soup dumplings. The broth inside wasn't as flavorful or salty as I'd like but they definitely are homemade and still delicious. We loved the pan fried dumplings, they were so good with the flour skirt. The noodles are all hand pulled here and they were soooo good! Definitely recommend any of the noodle dishes. We had the noodles with black bean sauce and they were phenomenal. Service is pretty quick and the ladies working there were very nice. The space is nice inside and it's decent sized. Definitely recommend it for some authentic Chinese food in town!
I went here for dinner on a Tuesday evening with three other friends at 6pm. We were able to get a table right away. I've never been inside before and it has a bunch of tables for four, a big round table for a slightly smaller table towards the back, and a couple of benches with seats all facing one way so you can watch the staff in the kitchen make the food through a large glass window. The food was delicious and came out SO quickly. My favorites were the pork soup dumplings, the shao mai, and the braised minced pork over rice. I will say, the customer service here is just okay which is how you know it's authentic. At no point did anyone smile at us or ask us how we were doing which I loved. Instead, they gave us our food with a brusque efficiency which was fantastic.
This is one of my all-time FAVORITE restaurants in Pittsburgh. It's my go-to when I want authentic Chinese, and I have gone countless times. The wait time for food is short, and turnover for tables is relatively quick considering how busy they get during peak hours. The soup dumplings are pretty cheap, and they are amazing. I am a big fan of ordering lamb noodle soup if I am feeling particularly down, and the hot wonton noodles are my go-to on a regular day. I can't recommend enough!
Everyday Noodles never disappoints. Expect to wait for a little bit on during busy times, but the service is fast and the wait is well worth it. Reviewing the menu during that time helps too! If you have any allergies, I'd recommend reading thoroughly; it's easy to get caught up in how good everything sounds and miss the symbols you need to guide your allergy-free experience. Lastly, don't leave without having partaken in the soup dumplings. 10/10.
There's nothing particularly compelling about the ambiance of Everyday Noodles. The seating is close together, the overhead lighting is bright, and you order off of a menu by checking off what you want and handing it to a server. There are large windows into the kitchen so you can watch them hand pull the noodles, which is very cool and hypnotic. The service is friendly enough but emphasizes getting in and out quickly. Your food will come fast! So why the 5 star review? Because you don't go to Everyday Noodles for the ambiance or the service. You go there food the food. And the food is EXCELLENT. Our favorites to order there are the pickled cucumber (oily spicy chunks of cucumber), the dan dan noodles szechuan style with skinny noodles, and the pork soup dumplings. The cucumbers are fresh and crisp. The dan dan noodles are the perfect mix of creamy, nutty, spicy, and funky, and are drenched in sauce. The fresh noodles are next level good and have the perfect amount of chew. The dumplings are the star of the show for us - they are so savory, unctuous, and perfectly executed. The dipping sauce they serve with them with is soooo delicious. We've played around with different orders there but always come back specifically for the pork dumplings. Some other stand outs: The golden fried tofu is also delicious and unique from other fried tofu I've tried, it's so creamy and soft. The potstickers are great. We love the cold sesame noodles on a hot day.
Everyday Noodles is as authentic as they come! A small little restaurant with a big menu and tons of flavor! The seating is a little close together, and we ended up really close to the kitchen. It wasn't too bad, though! Everything comes out super quickly! My husband tried their bubble tea and some of their Ramen. We also split some dim sum dumplings, and I had some spicy noodles! Everything was flavorful and well prepared!
Every day noodles is the real deal. They make their noodles in house. Tonight we got soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and bok choy. Eating soup noodles is so incredible. A little pocket of fresh noodle dough wrapped around a piece of pork surrounded by a mouthful of 'soup' broth. The first time you have one it's such a delightful surprise. We are lucky to have such an authentic noodle place in Pittsburg!
Hand pulling noodles is paying off (you can watch them do it)! I'm Italian so any Italian joint serving fresh pasta is at the top of my list. I'm starting to get the same way with Asian cuisine. There's something different about a fresh noodle than one that's been dried out and re-hydrated. I was visiting family and brought them here as they haven't been. Everyone enjoyed their meals! We split an order of Soup Dumplings which were delicious. They brought the vinegary sauce but I was able to use some of my hot/spicy sauce from my absolutely amazing hand pulled Hot Spicy Wonton Noodles. When you order, they ask if you want thin or wide noods. I ordered the thin and wow, they had a nice chew and were delicious. The dish I ordered (51) had noodles with wontons on top. Like Sammy Hagar, this dish provided the Best of Both Worlds for me. Hot and Spicy wontons are my go-to at any dumpling place, and these didn't disappoint. Parking can be a challenge, but on Sundays, the little covered garage at the far end of the block had free parking! That was a nice surprise for Squirrel Hill! I'd gladly go back and have been telling others that live in the Pittsburgh area to give it a try! Who doesn't love seeing Live Noods?
